There is no waitlist any more

This page used to sign people up for early access. It no longer needs to: BlueWillow is open to everyone, there is nothing to queue for, and the box above goes straight to the generator. If you landed here looking for an invite, you already have one.

What BlueWillow is

BlueWillow turns a written description into an image. You type what you want to see — a subject, a setting, a mood, a style — and get pictures back. It built its following as a free alternative to the paid image generators, run through a Discord community rather than a website, and that free-to-start promise is still the point.

How it works now that BlueWillow is part of LimeWire

Generation happens in the LimeWire AI Studio. Typing a prompt on this page carries it across, so you can start writing before you have an account and finish on the other side. The studio is not limited to one model: the same prompt box reaches several image models, and it sits next to tools for editing, upscaling and extending what you make, which the original Discord bot could not do.

Getting a good image out of it

Short prompts produce generic pictures. Naming a subject, then the setting, then the look you are after gives the model something to work with: a lighthouse on a cliff at dawn, heavy fog, photographed on film beats a lighthouse. If a result is close but not right, change one thing at a time — swapping the whole prompt makes it impossible to tell which word did the work.

Common questions

Do I still need a Discord invite to use BlueWillow?

No. The community is still there — the old invite link now opens a server called LimeWire (Legacy) — but generating no longer happens through a Discord bot. You do not need to join anything to make an image.

Is BlueWillow still free?

There is still a free way in, which is what the button above gives you. Paid plans exist for people who generate a lot; what each one includes is listed on the LimeWire pricing page rather than here, so that it is right rather than out of date.

Who owns the images I generate?

Check the terms of service before you build a business on an answer you read on a landing page — that is where the rights are actually set out, and it is linked at the bottom of this page.

Why does this page still exist if the waitlist is gone?

Because people still search for it. Rather than quietly dropping anyone who follows an old link into a dead end, the page says what changed and sends you where you were going.
